Having a security system in your home is one of the best ways to protect your home and family. It’s all about peace of mind. These days, security systems are designed Smart, allowing you to activate or deactivate and monitor your home remotely. You can even talk to people at your doorway from anywhere!
Cameras, sensors and more
Security systems include entry doorway cameras, door and window sensors, indoor and outdoor motion detectors and glass / water detection. The glass protection is designed to detect if a window is broken into and the water sensor detects if your house is flooding.

Each company also offers smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, recommending at least one detector on each floor of your home.
Too many people lose their lives because of a lack of smoke detectors. There was even a brand new fire station in Germany that burned to the ground because no one thought to install smoke detectors in the building. Carbon monoxide is referred to as the silent killer because it is colorless, odorless, tasteless and non- irritating. At a minimum, you should invest in both of these protective measures. You can pick them up at your local hardware store and install them yourself.

Know your security system options
Companies like ADT, Brinks or Vector will install your system for you. If you move, they will move your security system to your new residence. A company like Simply Safe is the DIY version and you are the one doing the installation. All three have full time staff monitoring your security system
There are many good choices when it comes to choosing which company you want to work with to protect your home and family. Just be mindful if you have pets as they can set off internal motion detectors. We recommend evaluating your home security needs today.
